Room at various angles.

...Because Edgeworth is very well-off, there will be no question that he will request as much from the castle as he can to feel 'at home.' Therefore, his room will be inspired by a room of one of his favourite hotel suites - the Hazlitts in Soho, London. The hotel room is a bit smaller than it appears in the picture, but is extremely richly furnished and decorated. However, with opulence comes a price, as usual, and because of Edgeworth's fastidious tastes, the castle will inflict upon him at least one temporary loss per month. Unbeknownst to Edgeworth, of course.

At any given time, there will be a book or two on the bed, and others placed sporadically at various crevasses within the room.  There is another, smaller partition of the room containing a couch, small table, and chair. There are a pair of small speakers, a heated blanket, a small fridge with at least two wine bottles, and a heating apparatus that doesn't emit microwaves. There's also a burgundy/blue chess set. There's no television, no futon, and of course, no Oldbag . There is a black box on the desk that requires not only a key to be opened, but a sliding puzzle to be solved. There's also a medium-sized kitchen. The bathroom is nothing particularly fascinating, as he doesn't spend enough time in there to feel the need to expend too much effort in decorating it, and it is much smaller than one may expect after seeing the room. There is, however, a clean bathtub lined with a few red/gold, unused candles.

[It's not much help, but it's enough, and Phoenix manages to get one arm more securely around Edgeworth's chest and pull, dragging with all his might to get his friend safely out of the water before he can pass out completely.]

[When he is finally out, he rolls on to his side, a shaky arm propping his upper body up, and the other - equally shaky - hand gripping Phoenix's arm as he inhales and exhales slowly and deeply. The dizzy spell is a bit too strong for him to endure, however...He collapses on to his side.]

[He thinks better of shaking Edgeworth to try to bring him back around, so he hurries off for one of the unused towels, rushing back and using it to fan some of the cool night air into Edgeworth's face.]

[Brb unconscious.]

[Hot water probably isn't going to help the situation, but water cools; Phoenix dips the corner of the towel into the bath and sets it aside, waiting for the air to do its job.

In the meantime, he drapes the other spare towel over Edgeworth in an attempt at some belated privacy and leans over the man, stroking his face and softly repeating his name. It's instinct--just moving without thinking--where shaking him is out of the question, and if he'd stopped to consider it for a moment he probably wouldn't have gone through with it at all.

Still, he's incredibly worried despite the calm demeanor he's forcing. No expense is too great in trying to help Edgeworth.]

[It isn't long at all until Edgeworth comes to, but when he does, it's Dos Equis his eyes crack open slowly, and immediately following, attempts to prop himself up. As he sits up, supported by mildly shaky hands, he hangs his head low in silence for several seconds..]

Hey, be careful! Take your time, there's no rush...

[He has a hand on Edgeworth's back, offering uncertain support both physically and emotionally, should it be needed.]

Take a deep breath...

[Ignoring Phoenix's words at the moment, he looks about, looks behind him-..]


...WHy am I on the grou--[He notes the towel] -Where did that come from?

[takethat]

It came from over there where you left it.

[Idle gesture in the general direction]

And you're on the ground because you fainted. How are you feeling?

'Fainted'..?

[Having no clue just how much time has elapsed since going unconscious (when he believed he merely rested his head for a couple of seconds) to now, it sounds rather silly, really...]


...Are you certain of that?

[takethat]

Very certain... well, I think you were sort of halfway with it for a minute, but you were out cold after that.

[Speaking of 'cold,' he picks up the partially-wet towel and shrugs.]

I was going to put this on your head... do you need it now?

...How long was I-...?

[takethat]

I'm not really sure... a couple of minutes at the most?

[He wasn't counting--he was much too busy worrying.]

[Far from judging Edgeworth at all, Phoenix is staring at him, trying to read his face to determine whether or not he's in any pain or still feeling badly.]

Are you doing okay now? You scared me.

Apart from being a bit embarrassed, yes. I am quite alright. That's quite odd. This has never happened to me, before...

You shouldn't sit in hot water for too long! It's bad for you!






...though it is pretty worrying. I didn't faint, and I'm the one who's been drinking tonight. Maybe you need to see a doctor or something.

...At this rate, I am inclined to agree with you. Regularly, I tend to sit in hotter water for far longer.

You're not a burden.

[(I'm glad I could take care of you.)]

But promise me you'll talk to a doctor? Soon?

Well, yes, I-...[Pause.]...Are you sure you are alright?

Me? Of course I'm alright... except I'm very worried about you... I don't really want to have to pull any more unconscious friends out of a hot spring again any time soon.

I will be fine. As for you... I deeply apologize for any permanent damage I may have caused you by having to see me like this once again.

[takethat]

See you like what? Fainting? I'm just glad I was here to help!

[Concern is strong enough to drive the thought of Edgeworth's naked body right out of Phoenix's mind. For now.]
