Indeed. None of the castle's nonsense... I can almost rest assured that I won't be turned into some animal, or wake up with lobsters attached to my wrists. I guess I may still be within the realm of the castle's magic, but from what I have heard, those who stay in the City tend to not have as many problems as they do as when staying at the castle. I've been wonderfully relaxed here, although restless, but then again, I was restless there, as well. I've entertained the thought of finding a job to keep me busy. I've been in good company a couple of times, but by accident. The townspeople are rather distant and oddly forgetful, so my only means of social interaction was with encounters with residents from the castle. It's been sufficient. Veritas has been keeping me great company, otherwise.
