Knowing you, I have little doubt that she was in a sort of unfortunate situation and that you felt absolutely compelled to step in and exact justice for her by righting the wrongs that had befallen the poor girl...and that you felt that you could only do so by taking her in and providing her with the family that she had lacked. Though, my imagination may simply be running off in a completely unrelated direction...
