...This is a general post for Paradisa residents, should anyone wish to harass visit or contact Edgeworth ICly. If you are not from Paradisa (I.E., from another game/dressing room, etc), you are welcome to interact with Edgeworth via his Hotel Room.

Room at various angles.

...Because Edgeworth is very well-off, there will be no question that he will request as much from the castle as he can to feel 'at home.' Therefore, his room will be inspired by a room of one of his favourite hotel suites - the Hazlitts in Soho, London. The hotel room is a bit smaller than it appears in the picture, but is extremely richly furnished and decorated. However, with opulence comes a price, as usual, and because of Edgeworth's fastidious tastes, the castle will inflict upon him at least one temporary loss per month. Unbeknownst to Edgeworth, of course.

At any given time, there will be a book or two on the bed, and others placed sporadically at various crevasses within the room.  There is another, smaller partition of the room containing a couch, small table, and chair. There are a pair of small speakers, a heated blanket, a small fridge with at least two wine bottles, and a heating apparatus that doesn't emit microwaves. There's also a burgundy/blue chess set. There's no television, no futon, and of course, no Oldbag . There is a black box on the desk that requires not only a key to be opened, but a sliding puzzle to be solved. There's also a medium-sized kitchen. The bathroom is nothing particularly fascinating, as he doesn't spend enough time in there to feel the need to expend too much effort in decorating it, and it is much smaller than one may expect after seeing the room. There is, however, a clean bathtub lined with a few red/gold, unused candles.

I guess not... but mostly, I think it's just getting to my brain and making me feel a false sense of security...

Ah, I had almost forgotten that was a concern. Worry not, my friend. You have nothing to fear from me. As I said before, I may be a gay man, but I do have my standards.

...yeah, and we're back to me being inadequate.

[He forces a laugh to prove that was a carefree statement.]

Oh, come now, I didn't mean it in such a manner.

[He's not sure there's any other way to take "I may swing that way but I have standards," but again, it's not worth arguing.]

I don't really care about being here with you just because you're gay, you know. That doesn't really have anything to do with it.

If you say so. You owe me no explanation, though it admittedly still strikes my curiosity... [His eyes droop and his head slowly tilts to the side. He quickly replaces empty space with an arm, propping his head up as if catching himself from falling over sideways.]

[Don't expect that to go unnoticed.]

Miles? You okay?

Of course. Why do you ask?

You looked a little rough there for a second...

[cantacquityou]

[It takes him a bit to realize that he is starting to feel a bit light-headed.]


...Actually, now that I think on it...perhaps...perhaps I should-...

[takethat]

Go on, get out of the bath. People aren't made to sit in these things for a long time, anyway.

[He heads back toward where he left his towel.]

[Easier said than done. He remains motionless, clutching his head as he attempts to realign himself with reality.]

[Well, at least Edgeworth isn't paying any attention to him right now. Phoenix climbs out of the bath and covers himself up with his towel before walking over to kneel beside Edgeworth's head.]

Miles. Do you need some help?

[cantacquityou]

[He shakes his head.]

...No, thank you. I will...manage.

[takethat]

[Kneeling there, his own face still flushed hot, Phoenix reaches out gingerly to touch Edgeworth's head. It's a very light touch, and he murmurs along with it]

Come on. I'm worried about you.

[It's not easy to will his fingers to remain unmoving, as much as he wants to play with that gray hair.

Not that he would ever consciously admit such a thing to himself.]

[There is a semblance of a wry smile.]

...Don't push me in...


[He then begins to slump slowly forward, unbeknownst to himself despite still being conscious.]

...alright.

[Screw socially acceptable behavior when Edgeworth is in trouble; Phoenix reaches down and grabs Edgeworth under his arms and heaves as well as he can, grunting.]

You gotta help me out some, here...

[Edgeworth's eyes snap open, surprised at the other man's sudden gesture. Though, still being immensely dizzy, there's not much that he can do to protest at the moment but grasp Phoenix's arm. With whatever bit of strength he can manage, he pushes himself up with his heel, hopefully assisting Phoenix in his endeavor. He'd feel embarrassed about this in a few minutes, but for now...it would be best to just swallow his pride and get himself to safety...]

[It's not much help, but it's enough, and Phoenix manages to get one arm more securely around Edgeworth's chest and pull, dragging with all his might to get his friend safely out of the water before he can pass out completely.]

Inappropriate icon. Whatever.

[When he is finally out, he rolls on to his side, a shaky arm propping his upper body up, and the other - equally shaky - hand gripping Phoenix's arm as he inhales and exhales slowly and deeply. The dizzy spell is a bit too strong for him to endure, however...He collapses on to his side.]

Miles...?

[He thinks better of shaking Edgeworth to try to bring him back around, so he hurries off for one of the unused towels, rushing back and using it to fan some of the cool night air into Edgeworth's face.]

[Brb unconscious.]

[Hot water probably isn't going to help the situation, but water cools; Phoenix dips the corner of the towel into the bath and sets it aside, waiting for the air to do its job.

In the meantime, he drapes the other spare towel over Edgeworth in an attempt at some belated privacy and leans over the man, stroking his face and softly repeating his name. It's instinct--just moving without thinking--where shaking him is out of the question, and if he'd stopped to consider it for a moment he probably wouldn't have gone through with it at all.

Still, he's incredibly worried despite the calm demeanor he's forcing. No expense is too great in trying to help Edgeworth.]
