...This is a general post for Paradisa residents, should anyone wish to harass visit or contact Edgeworth ICly. If you are not from Paradisa (I.E., from another game/dressing room, etc), you are welcome to interact with Edgeworth via ~~his Hotel Room~~.

Room at various angles.

...Because Edgeworth is very well-off, there will be no question that he will request as much from the castle as he can to feel 'at home.' Therefore, his room will be inspired by a room of one of his favourite hotel suites - the Hazlitts in Soho, London. The hotel room is a bit smaller than it appears in the picture, but is extremely richly furnished and decorated. However, with opulence comes a price, as usual, and because of Edgeworth's fastidious tastes, the castle will inflict upon him at least one temporary loss per month. Unbeknownst to Edgeworth, of course.

At any given time, there will be a book or two on the bed, and others placed sporadically at various crevasses within the room. There is another, smaller partition of the room containing a couch, small table, and chair. There are a pair of small speakers, a heated blanket, a small fridge with at least two wine bottles, and a heating apparatus that doesn't emit microwaves. There's also a burgundy/blue chess set. There's no television, no futon, and of course, no Oldbag . There is a black box on the desk that requires not only a key to be opened, but a sliding puzzle to be solved. There's also a medium-sized kitchen. The bathroom is nothing particularly fascinating, as he doesn't spend enough time in there to feel the need to expend too much effort in decorating it, and it is much smaller than one may expect after seeing the room. There is, however, a clean bathtub lined with a few red/gold, unused candles.

So what are you getting at?

...couldn't help but wonder if the Castle paired us frequently due to our tendency to be rather short-fused with each other, and upon discovering that we have been getting along much better in recent times...

...separated us... for less-favourable partnerships.

So you think the castle is pairing us in ways that will make us unhappy?

That's... not really... how I'm seeing past events.

[..."Because you're someone I'd rather not be paired up with, either," is what he'd expect to hear, given his impression of their last encounter. Needless to say, not something he'd like to risk having to hear...

He waves a hand dismissively.]

...That's quite alright. You don't have to elaborate.

[Edgeworth's ability to misconstrue most everything he says is something Phoenix has been slowly coming to grasp, within recent months--they've both admitted to misunderstandings in the past, and he doesn't want that to happen again now.

Still, he's not... looking forward to what he's about to say. There are many other ways this could go badly, after all.

But it has to be said. Edgeworth shared his side of things, so Phoenix is silently insistent on doing the same.

...it's just that I didn't really mind being with you for the other stuff.

...so... so that logic doesn't work.

...At times, it's rather difficult to tell.

[Okay. That went... better? than expected.]

[Nope. Much worse than expected. His shoulders sag a bit, but his voice is strong and just a little bit angry--just a little--when he speaks up again.]

This is really all you have to say?

...As I am sure you know by now...expressing myself efficiently is ...not exactly my forte...

[Yes... Phoenix does know that. And, he reminds himself, he also knows by now that what seems vastly important to him doesn't ever matter a tick to Edgeworth.

...maybe it's all just at random and there's no reason at all for the castle to be like this, but the odds don't really add up for that.

All the... possibilities, even the unlikely ones.

Surely that is not all, seeing as though we've yet to come up with a solid conclusion. Though it does make sense to me that the Castle would refrain from pairing us in situations acknowledging that we are apt to cooperate with each other, and work together rather than against...

This is a really different "situation" than last time... you know? I wonder if that has some kind of bearing on it. Last time, we really had to work together, and we did. This time--I wonder if it would've been less of a thing.

[He's kind of trailed off, muttering the weak end of that statement to himself more than to Edgeworth, trying to sort through the thoughts that are getting ahead of him.]

..."less of a thing"? That statement could do with a bit more embellishing...

I'm thinking, let me think!!

[He's pacing and tapping his chin thoughtfully.]

This is a really domestic situation. Maybe the castle's putting us with people it thinks we should be doing domestic-type things with.

...except Larry is horrible at all of it, so maybe not...

...and what relevance would there be in regard to myself and Vanyel? I barely knew the fellow before this.

[He does not believe that--but does his best to hide his skepticism.]

Guess that's a faulty theory, too...

[The kids have been far too quiet for faaar too long, and Edgeworth notes this. His daddy senses go on alert...his little one was usually a silent one, but something was amiss...

...in the corner of his eye, he catches her attempting to climb onto the head of the desk's chair in an attempt to reach a decorative, glass chess-piece on a high shelf. The chair is rocking from underneath her as if on the verge of toppling over with her...]

Oh, geez...

[Phoenix, in the meantime, checks for his two. At first, he only spots Sage, who is on a mission; she's apparently been pulling pillows, blankets, throws--anything she can get her hands on--into a pile in the middle of the floor.]

Sage! What are you... where's Olive??

[Just as he's about to be a panicked daddy, too, the pile of blankets whines and squirms, and he kneels to uncover Olive. He smiles and shakes his head.]

Can't take my eyes off you two for a second, can I?
