cantacquityou: (how can i gay up my office today)

...This is a general post for Paradisa residents, should anyone wish to harass visit or contact Edgeworth ICly. If you are not from Paradisa (I.E., from another game/dressing room, etc), you are welcome to interact with Edgeworth via
his Hotel Room

LOLNOPE. Edgey has a new inbox now. Go there.

Room at various angles.

...Because Edgeworth is very well-off, there will be no question that he will request as much from the castle as he can to feel 'at home.' Therefore, his room will be inspired by a room of one of his favourite hotel suites - the Hazlitts in Soho, London. The hotel room is a bit smaller than it appears in the picture, but is extremely richly furnished and decorated. However, with opulence comes a price, as usual, and because of Edgeworth's fastidious tastes, the castle will inflict upon him at least one temporary loss per month. Unbeknownst to Edgeworth, of course.

At any given time, there will be a book or two on the bed, and others placed sporadically at various crevasses within the room.  There is another, smaller partition of the room containing a couch, small table, and chair. There are a pair of small speakers, a heated blanket, a small fridge with at least two wine bottles, and a heating apparatus that doesn't emit microwaves. There's also a burgundy/blue chess set. There's no television, no futon, and of course, no Oldbag . There is a black box on the desk that requires not only a key to be opened, but a sliding puzzle to be solved. There's also a medium-sized kitchen. The bathroom is nothing particularly fascinating, as he doesn't spend enough time in there to feel the need to expend too much effort in decorating it, and it is much smaller than one may expect after seeing the room. There is, however, a clean bathtub lined with a few red/gold, unused candles.

See the chess piece? Definitely Edgeworth's room.

The kitchen is similar to this, but quite smaller:

takethat: Phoenix as he usually appears--bright eyes, happy smile. (let me study this)
[It may be a little crinkled from being jammed under Edgeworth's door, but two days after being commanded to do so, Phoenix has successfully delivered the letter he has written. It's tri-folded and sealed in an envelope with "Miles" scrawled on the front. The contents of said letter are as follows.]

Dear Miles,

Here's the letter you told me to write to you. I still don't have a clue what you're making me do this for, but I'm doing it anyway. I don't have much else going on right now, I guess.

Oh, well. I used to write letters to you a lot. I still don't know if you really read them or what, but at this point I don't really want to know. I wrote a lot of secrets in those letters. At least, they were secrets back when I was younger. I guess it was nothing important, but still, I'd probably feel a little bit embarrassed to know you'd been reading that stuff all along. And then again, I'd feel sad to find out you never read any of it. So do me a favor and just don't ever tell me the truth either way, okay?

But you better read this one, since you're making me do this.

I think I'm slowly starting to come to terms with living in this castle, now. At first, I was pretty freaked out. I was scared, and I wanted to go back home. But then Maya found me, so things got a little easier--and with every new friend I make, it seems to be that much nicer to be here now. It helps now that you're here, too, of course. One less person for me to worry about back home and all that.

It'd be nice if we could have some courtroom excitement, though, don't you think? I'm kind of getting bored just staying cooped up all the time with nothing really to think about. I read a couple of books since I got here, but they haven't been much in the way of entertainment. I try to spend time going out and meeting new people, but even that only goes so far. Especially when half the people who live here seem to have some kind of a problem with me. Why is that, do you think? A few of them said it's because I'm a lawyer, but I don't see anybody treating you like crud. I kind of get the impression that certain specific people around here don't like it when others are happy. And I'm pretty happy most of the time. So maybe that's it.

Of course, I guess I wasn't too happy with you saying I couldn't talk to you for a week. I really wish I could explain myself better in that, but I feel like the more I try, the less you're going to listen. [Here, there are a bunch of thick dots of ink, indicative of the fact that he was tapping his pen in the same place for quite a while.] It just means a lot to me to have [words are marked out here and illegible] you and Maya around. I'd be completely lost without the two of you. And as it is, Maya's got so many friends she wants to be with all the time here that she doesn't have a lot of time to hang out with me--not like back home, anyway. I'd try to tag along with her, but I'd just be a third wheel. And anyway, it's nice to spend time with someone my own age for a change. That's definitely not something I got to do too much before.

Anyway, you can't expect me not to feel like our friendship's a little different, after how much trouble you went to taking care of me after my falling incident. You keep going to a lot of trouble to point out that you don't dislike me, and that you consider me a friend, and you sometimes give me the best hugs [this is still legible, with effort] all that kind of stuff, so it's just kind of weird to me that you would want to put distance between yourself and someone who is your friend. Especially based on simple misunderstandings. Makes me wonder if you're actually trying to hide a bigger problem somewhere. If you are--you know you can talk to me about whatever, okay? I know you probably won't, but the offer's still there.

So maybe this letter is long enough, and maybe it wasn't too trivial for you. I hope I did it right. Sorry it took a while, even though I think that was probably your intention.

-Phoenix

[All up and down the margins, there are doodles--a few flowers, a bunch of balloons, a particularly realistic-looking cactus, little stars here and there, and a sketchy pair of eyes that look suspiciously like Edgeworth's. When he's stuck on what to say, Phoenix doodles.

He was stuck a lot.]
