Room at various angles.

...Because Edgeworth is very well-off, there will be no question that he will request as much from the castle as he can to feel 'at home.' Therefore, his room will be inspired by a room of one of his favourite hotel suites - the Hazlitts in Soho, London. The hotel room is a bit smaller than it appears in the picture, but is extremely richly furnished and decorated. However, with opulence comes a price, as usual, and because of Edgeworth's fastidious tastes, the castle will inflict upon him at least one temporary loss per month. Unbeknownst to Edgeworth, of course.

At any given time, there will be a book or two on the bed, and others placed sporadically at various crevasses within the room.  There is another, smaller partition of the room containing a couch, small table, and chair. There are a pair of small speakers, a heated blanket, a small fridge with at least two wine bottles, and a heating apparatus that doesn't emit microwaves. There's also a burgundy/blue chess set. There's no television, no futon, and of course, no Oldbag . There is a black box on the desk that requires not only a key to be opened, but a sliding puzzle to be solved. There's also a medium-sized kitchen. The bathroom is nothing particularly fascinating, as he doesn't spend enough time in there to feel the need to expend too much effort in decorating it, and it is much smaller than one may expect after seeing the room. There is, however, a clean bathtub lined with a few red/gold, unused candles.

[He leans back to wait for the special delivery]

Do you have anything in mind? [He asks, spotting the Christmas baubles of earlier from the floor that fell off during their... awkward moment, and picks them up.]

Anything to draw, you mean?

[Aha aha aha... not like he was thinking about drawing you like one of his French girls or anything]

Not... necessarily.

[And just about that time, the castle ghosts bring in the requested items. Neat.]

[Picks a graphite pencil out of Phoenix's hair.]

[He gives a nervous little chuckle at that.]

Uh... any requests?

[He taps the pencil upon his cheek as he takes a moment to think about that...]




...The three of us, as you used to.

Me and you and Vera...? But I just met her today.

I was referring to you, Larry and I.

...Larry?

[ALL THE CONFUSION ;;]

Larry. Larry Butz. Your supposed best friend who phones you at least 4 times a week. 'THE Butz.'

[This is all really quite bewildering, and Phoenix is getting a little anxious about it.]






...so you mean to tell me... that I have this "best friend" that I don't even remember?

[He watches Edgeworth's face carefully, looking for any sign that he's being messed with.]

[Raises a brow]

[He's nothing short of scared, now, and his expression betrays that even if I don't have a good icon for it.]

Are you joking? Because if you are, you're going too far.

Wright. This is not a topic worthy of jest. If you cannot recall Larry of all people, I fear that you have much more to recover than control of your legs.

[He's stunned into silence.

I talked to a guy here once... he said the castle took all of his memories of his best friend. Do you think--could that be what's going on?
