Room at various angles.

...Because Edgeworth is very well-off, there will be no question that he will request as much from the castle as he can to feel 'at home.' Therefore, his room will be inspired by a room of one of his favourite hotel suites - the Hazlitts in Soho, London. The hotel room is a bit smaller than it appears in the picture, but is extremely richly furnished and decorated. However, with opulence comes a price, as usual, and because of Edgeworth's fastidious tastes, the castle will inflict upon him at least one temporary loss per month. Unbeknownst to Edgeworth, of course.

At any given time, there will be a book or two on the bed, and others placed sporadically at various crevasses within the room. There is another, smaller partition of the room containing a couch, small table, and chair. There are a pair of small speakers, a heated blanket, a small fridge with at least two wine bottles, and a heating apparatus that doesn't emit microwaves. There's also a burgundy/blue chess set. There's no television, no futon, and of course, no Oldbag . There is a black box on the desk that requires not only a key to be opened, but a sliding puzzle to be solved. There's also a medium-sized kitchen. The bathroom is nothing particularly fascinating, as he doesn't spend enough time in there to feel the need to expend too much effort in decorating it, and it is much smaller than one may expect after seeing the room. There is, however, a clean bathtub lined with a few red/gold, unused candles.

[He pecks both of his girls on the forehead in turn. They're both settling a little bit again, and Olive in particular is in a state of half-dozing.]

She certainly likes to sleep, doesn't she? [He places Vidia on the bed so that she can get back to her books.]

Maybe she got that from me, too.

[But she's not quite asleep yet, and she's peering with those drowsy blue eyes at Edgeworth, seeming to hang on his every word.]

[Edgeworth rubs her tiny hand in a soothing manner.]

Yes? May I help you?

[She looks for all the world as though she's considering what to say before she smiles shyly and speaks again.]

Pretty hair.

[And she points at Edgeworth's head.]

Well, that's a first.

You've never been told your hair is pretty before?

[That's... surprising.

Olive is grinning crookedly and still staring at said hair, but Sage begs to differ.]

Nuh-uh.

Not directly. 'Unusual,' yes... After all, hair of this colour tends to be associated with old age...

[Turns to Sage]

...and what's on your mind, Little One?

Well, yeah, but...

[But Phoenix likes Edgeworth's hair. Unfortunately he's cut off from saying anything of the sort when Sage blows a messy raspberry and frowns.]

Mean!

[And flails in Vidia's direction once again.]

Mean! [Vidia chirps]

[Sage squirms to be let down, as though she's going to go duke it out with Vidia. Phoenix does not oblige ~~despite his arms getting tired~~.]

No, you!!

[Vidia merely ignores her in favour of a toy on the bed she didn't recognize before.]

Now, now, you. No fighting... How about this? [He discreetly picks up a toy out of Vidia's range of sight and offers it to Sage.]

[Oh, good plan. Give the Larry-like child a toy that makes a lot of noise.

Immediately she's distracted and starts punching buttons wildly on it. Phoenix takes this opportunity to set her down on the ground, followed by Olive, who seems complacent enough with peering over at what Sage has now.]

You may regret that when the noise doesn't stop...

It's not all that loud. I made sure of it. Now, unless she figures out how to undo the volume adjustments, I'd say our ears are safe.

Well that's... comforting, at least... you think of everything, huh?

[Snerk]

[He just shakes his head.]

At least you have help. Larry... doesn't... really seem to know or care what he's doing.

None at all? I must say, I am actually a bit surprised.

He just lets them go crazy and make noise all the time. No help at all.

[And there's no keeping anything at a low volume, whether it's necessary as Edgeworth says or not.]

...It makes me wonder how the Castle selects its pairings for such events.

Yeah... same here. Been wondering that a lot lately, as a matter of fact... I mean, why put me with someone I don't even remember?
