[ARCHIVED] IC-inbox
...This is a general post for Paradisa residents, should anyone wish to harass visit or contact Edgeworth ICly. If you are not from Paradisa (I.E., from another game/dressing room, etc), you are welcome to interact with Edgeworth via
LOLNOPE. Edgey has a new inbox now. Go there.
Room at various angles.
...Because Edgeworth is very well-off, there will be no question that he will request as much from the castle as he can to feel 'at home.' Therefore, his room will be inspired by a room of one of his favourite hotel suites - the Hazlitts in Soho, London. The hotel room is a bit smaller than it appears in the picture, but is extremely richly furnished and decorated. However, with opulence comes a price, as usual, and because of Edgeworth's fastidious tastes, the castle will inflict upon him at least one temporary loss per month. Unbeknownst to Edgeworth, of course.
At any given time, there will be a book or two on the bed, and others placed sporadically at various crevasses within the room. There is another, smaller partition of the room containing a couch, small table, and chair. There are a pair of small speakers, a heated blanket, a small fridge with at least two wine bottles, and a heating apparatus that doesn't emit microwaves. There's also a burgundy/blue chess set. There's no television, no futon, and of course, no Oldbag . There is a black box on the desk that requires not only a key to be opened, but a sliding puzzle to be solved. There's also a medium-sized kitchen. The bathroom is nothing particularly fascinating, as he doesn't spend enough time in there to feel the need to expend too much effort in decorating it, and it is much smaller than one may expect after seeing the room. There is, however, a clean bathtub lined with a few red/gold, unused candles.

See the chess piece? Definitely Edgeworth's room.

The kitchen is similar to this, but quite smaller:

[He swings his legs over the side of the bed and takes a deep breath. Not about to stay in this room another second with the king of grumpiness, he's ready to prove he can get up and walk away just fine.
But he's not exactly sure of himself in that, so he's just sitting there, building up enough steam to actually try.]

...I am being careful! I'm tired of being stuck in bed or in a wheelchair. [Getting tired of being under Edgeworth's command, too, but he's got enough sense not to say that.]
no subject
You have not walked in a little over a week. Don't force yourself unnecessarily.
no subject
[Well. All that anger and hurt he was getting buried under completely dissipate with Edgeworth's gesture, and Phoenix once again finds himself more than a little baffled by the dichotomy of words and actions at play here. Regardless, it's impossible not to smile, just a little, with Edgeworth showing this kindness.
And that's part of what he sees in you, Edgey]Thanks... guess I'm getting pretty restless.
no subject
...You will walk, run, dance, and possibly be able to yell, "OBJECTION!" and point with your toes. However, as for now, let us determine how well you can stand, and we will cross that bridge when we actually get to it.
no subject
He stands up, not without effort and a little bit of forcing his legs to cooperate with the rest of him. He's wobbly--the room's spinning, but just a little bit!--and he hopes Edgeworth doesn't notice that he's leaning on him more than he'd like.]
S-see? Piece of cake!
no subject
Is totally holding you up. Don't play yourself.]...Wright. Your eyes are flitting about like an inebriated hummingbird.
no subject
[mumbling]
...better sit back down.
[Point: Edgeworth.]
no subject
Are you hungry?
no subject
[More embarrassed than anything]I... guess. Yes.
[He's sitting, but he's not getting back under the covers--one last attempt at defiance, at least in his mind.]
no subject
no hard sausages, plz
no subject
That is it?
no subject
You want me to ask for a five-course breakfast?
no subject
I cannot want anything for you.

[sighs, fishes through nightstand's drawer and hands him a notepad]
List whatever you want. Type of bagel, flavour of cream cheese should you want any, whether you would like it toasted, as a sandwich, etc. I am going to the bathroom.
no subject
With a sigh of his own, he makes his list:
bagel
plain.
cream cheese
plain.
toasted.
And then, because that sounds really incredibly boring, he adds a bit:
smoked salmon.
red onions.
lettuce.]
no subject
Finished?
no subject
[Startled AGAIN, he throws the notepad into the air. It sails gracefully to the floor.]
...finished.

And as usual, the castle works its magic quickly, and within two minutes, Edgeworth is descending the steps with a very large tray. Larger than what one may have expected.
He sets it down next to Phoenix and pulls the white fabric covering away to reveal the order...
...and with a literal request comes literal results.
There is his plain, toasted bagel.
His salmon, nice and smoked.
3 whole, red onions.
A head of lettuce.]
...I assume you wanted the vegetables prepared, somehow.
no subject
Just... get me a knife, I'll do it myself....
no subject
I will do it. You drink this.
